Clinical Case 8

Account written in French, machine-translated.

The following dialogue is not a clinical case but a conversation I had with a mother... physician, a few years ago.
This exchange is enriching, in more than one way, because it comes from a physician.

Hello,

I am a general practitioner and am currently in a naturopathy training at Paris 13 University.
I was referred to you by the ODENTH association.
I am looking for a practitioner who could take charge of the oral-dental pathology of my 19-month-old son, who suffered from ankyloglossia (too short frenulum of the tongue) at birth with swallowing disorders. Since his birth, his life has been marked by health issues: poor feeding, digestive problems, agitation, and probable abdominal pain, food allergy.
I am doing my best to ensure the best medical follow-up for my son with allopathic and holistic means. However, I am convinced that there exists a dental solution for my son, to improve his growth and especially to control the malposition of the teeth, the functional linguistic pathology, and the phonatory disorders that I anticipate as my son is in the process of acquiring language.

Is it too early to have him followed by a qualified dentist in dentosophy?

Thank you.
Best regards.

Me

Hello Madam,
My youngest patient was 2 years and 3 months old. It is never too early, but the important thing will be the parents' motivation because dentosophy goes beyond the "well-trodden paths" of medicine as we were taught.
As a physician, I do not know your approach to the human being, but I know that the success of treatments largely depends on our questioning as adults about what a child represents and what it is trying to tell us through its pathologies.
I advise you to read the book before contacting a professional.
With all my sympathy.

Hello Mr. Montaud,

Thank you for your response and I hope you received my order of your book well.
As a physician and even more so as a mother, I am exploring and learning everything that my standard university curriculum has "hidden" from me until now.
And I am discovering terrifying things about the paradigms acquired until then and also the difficulties for existing within our professional community where the majority remains rather for inaction and pseudo-scientific dogmas.

I am sure I will make good use of the reading of your book.

Warm regards,

Her

Hello Mr. Montaud,

I just devoured your book like a thirsty person crossing a desert and, having encountered only mirages so far, have finally reached the oasis where to quench my thirst.
It seems to me that this encounter was not fortuitous and that my life events prepared me for it, bringing through the reading of your book current answers but also confirming my clinical intuitions as a patient first, therapist second, and parent third.

I wanted to share with you the particular echo that your development had on the maturation of the neuro-psycho-sensorial system in the sequence walk-talk-think. It has enlightened a personal situation that I lived during adolescence.
I come from a "pathological" family where my violent father beat my mother and where the eldest by mimetic behavior beat the younger ones.
And being the youngest of four children and a girl, I was the scapegoat of the family. My adolescence was the peak of physical and psychological abuse and the moment when I began to present regressive symptoms in the reverse sequence of what you present, namely impairment of Thinking (difficulty with school concentration, sadness, self-blame) followed by the appearance of Speaking disorders (stuttering) and finally Walking disorders (I limped without apparent organic damage). The year that followed, for my survival, I left my family and clung to my medical studies and the symptoms disappeared.
Now, in the light of your explanations, I better understand the impacts of the psycho-emotional system on our health.

Moreover, your book and its openings provide an answer to the problem of my 19-month-old son. As I told you, he was born with a too short frenulum of the tongue. We were in the United States. At the hospital discharge, I had to report it to the pediatrician because my son did not cry normally, the tongue not detaching from the floor.
Moreover, he had an abnormal behavior for me: persistent crying even after hours at the breast. I then mentioned a swallowing disorder and was ignored. At home, I had to resort to expressing my milk because on the fourth day, at the onset of lactation, the diagnosis was made, he was not taking anything, he was becoming emaciated, he had no diuresis and no transit.

I called for help all the medical personnel available at that time: the pediatrician told me to put him on powdered milk, then sent me to the dentist who sent me to the stomatologist if I insisted on intervening on his tongue, with general anesthesia planned and a one-month wait.
I finally resigned myself to "operating" (fronotomy) my son at home on the ninth day, seeing him too suffer to eat.
Since then, feeding problems have miraculously resolved, confirming the feeling I had of being in "orthofunctional" contrary to my colleagues who remained in the "dysfunctional" and did not look further anyway.
Unfortunately, my son's health problems have continued, eczema, food allergy, persistent sleep problems, chronic constipation, poorly emerging teeth, and an agitation that I do not find normal.
The medical community reassures me without giving me an answer, without explaining symptoms that they recognize as "abnormal" elsewhere.
Having an older healthy daughter, I could observe that a healthy child does not have this behavior. He eats well, sleeps well, behaves harmoniously. When a baby cries and it lasts, there is always a functional or organic reason for it.
It is a bit long, but I wanted to explain my journey to you and also my hopes as to helping my son correct a very bad start in life.

And finally, I would have liked to have your reflections on the reserve I make, however, to the reading of your book. I fully subscribe to all the demonstrations made in it, particularly those involving the action of the man (the one with the unbalanced mouth) on the rest of the world, as well as those involving our "responsibility" in our life events, and I think of the example of the child who broke an incisor in the schoolyard at the end of your book.
But is it not still too reductive?
What to think of the "injustices" of this world? Would there be more unbalanced mouths in war-torn countries?
If we all have within us the inner doctor to heal our "unloved"?
Who will heal us from the ills of others?
The woman who is beaten by the man who says he loves her, does she also have an unbalanced mouth?

Dentosophy is undoubtedly a great step towards healing this world. But there are indeed calamities that for me exceed comprehension.

Thank you for reading me and dedicating your book to me. I would not have dared to ask you.

Best regards.

Me

Hello Madam

Attention; the unbalanced mouth is, for me, an external view of an internal functioning of the human being that is not in harmony. It is just an external visible symptom. (It is not because of the mouth that humanity is going wrong)
And these observations generalize to the entire human race (with different degrees according to individuals). We then understand why this humanity is going so badly because this is generalized to the entire population.
But, if everything has a meaning, this too must have a meaning!

‘’ But is it not still too reductive?
What to think of the "injustices" of this world? Would there be more unbalanced mouths in war-torn countries? ’’

Where does the war begin? When people start shooting at each other or when we start beating a little girl, the sufferer of the entire family.
The injustices of this world are not only in the countries that are in "war".
We have all lived in our childhood injustices and continue to do so as adults, and it is always insupportable and yet we continue... continue... until when? Until when will we support the INSUPPORTABLE?

‘’ If we all have within us the inner doctor to heal our "unloved"? Who will heal us from the ills of others? ’’

No one will heal us from the ills of others because it is up to others to heal their own ills.
We cannot do anything directly for the other but, on the contrary, we can for ourselves and if we succeed in working on our own distress, (the insupportable that we support) we become "contagious of good health" and we give the desire to others to do the same (because the man knows, in his deep unconscious, that life "is something else than what he lives" and the "unloved" are there to remind him)

‘’ The woman who is beaten by the man who says he loves her, does she also have an unbalanced mouth? ’’

Yes! She has... and it is because she has this unbalanced mouth that she accepts to be beaten without batting an eye because, if she did not have it, she would never have found herself in this situation or she would have had the necessary resources to get out of it.

‘’ Dentosophy is undoubtedly a great step towards healing this world. But there are indeed calamities that for me exceed comprehension. ’’

A great friend of mine (and the word is not strong enough), Gitta Mallasz (author of "Dialogues with the Angel"), who was an enlightened being, once said:
"As long as there is war inside (us) there will be war outside. We are all responsible for what happens on Earth.
It is by working on our small internal wars that we will prevent, one day, the external wars."

You asked me my opinion and here is what I think. There is, of course, no judgment in my words because I am also a human being who is imbalanced and who is searching and groping.

Thank you for your sincerity and humility because it is not simple, especially for a physician, to "open up" as you did.
My book is addressed to the human being and I know, with you, it is in good hands.
With all my sympathy

Hello Mr. Montaud,

And thank you first of all for your consideration and the sincerity of your response.

I have accepted this idea that what happens to me/happened to me is not fortuitous. I have drawn lessons from it and am happy today to see a path to repair/correct the errors of the past that I have suffered as a child or committed as an adult. And to make my children benefit from the hard-earned lessons.

In the observation of the family functioning (that of my parents and brothers and sisters) disharmonious, I have acquired an understanding of the world.
Through the experience of this microcosm, I deduce an idea of the macrocosm that represents the world that we build: US the men and women since the history of humanity.

And it is true, we deploy extraordinary forces to try to transform everything that is outside us in the name of the most noble causes (freedom, democracy, equality, eradication of diseases) using finally force and constraint.
While if each one were to content himself with finding his inner harmony and focusing on this task, disorder would no longer have a place and it would become unnecessary "to knock down" an external enemy.

Thank you for allowing me this exchange and for helping me evolve in a few days towards a clearer consciousness.

Best regards,
