Bonjour
I am 19 years old and I wore a fixed dental appliance from around 12 to 15 years, and this was after having several teeth extracted around 10 years old. Since the appliance was removed, my occlusion is generally good (according to my own observations), but I have significant balance and muscle problems, as well as very high emotional sensitivity (or nervousness or stress), as if the problem the orthodontist had tried to solve with my teeth had shifted to my being.
In addition, a mild scoliosis developed at the same time.
I have improved my overall condition through swimming and a method combining relaxation and movement, as well as a small oral device I wear during daily gymnastics exercises. However, my balance remains fragile.
Moreover, I believe, based on my personal experience, that dentosophy, by transcending the old Western dichotomy of body-spirit, is the only science that can help me.
What do you think of my experience?
Do you think dentosophy can help me?

Finally, I have a more personal question: I have noticed that my states of great nervousness and tension stimulate my creativity (I am a musician) as well as my intellectual abilities (I am in a preparatory class).
Do you think that finding a better balance could harm my expression in these two areas (by perhaps expressing myself more simply in everyday life)?

I hope I have not been too long or too rambling or too confused.
Thank you in advance for your reply. And thank you very much for the new approach to humanity that you have developed and which is not of little use in a society so sure of the universality and veracity (what exactly is veracity?) of its dogmas (that was my moment of revolutionary insight in toc).

Cordially.

REPLY

I always have a real pleasure to dialogue with young people with good sense and a clear consciousness not clouded by the "system'.

"Moreover, I believe, based on my personal experience, that dentosophy, by transcending the old Western dichotomy of body-spirit, is the only science that can help me. What do you think of my experience?"

I think you have already made good progress, compared to your age, and that indeed dentosophy will bring a lot to you.

"I have noticed that my states of great nervousness and tension stimulate my creativity (I am a musician) as well as my intellectual abilities (I am in a preparatory class). Do you think that finding a better balance could harm my expression in these two areas (by perhaps expressing myself more simply in everyday life)?"

You will see that you will be deceiving yourself when you say this, and you will realize that, not only will it not harm, but on the contrary, your "creativity" will be multiplied.

"...in a society so sure of the universality and veracity (what exactly is veracity :-)?) of its dogmas (that was my moment of revolutionary insight in toc)."

If you are already facing these facts at 19, it means to me that you are at the beginning of a fascinating life path.

I wish you good luck for the future, always keeping in mind that we know almost nothing about the colossal reality of Man.

With my most sincere sympathy,

Michel Montaud

Re bonjour, how are you?

I wanted to thank you for your answer, simple, encouraging and comforting, yet full of understanding and especially confidence.
Confidence in the fact that each person behind what they say has a unique and fascinating experience, but that language allows resonance in others. We should remember more often that we are living organisms before anything else!

In addition, I admire the fact that you have succeeded in positioning yourself socially both as a scientist and as a creator (in the sense that you have created socially through scientific language, or discovered, access to a new way of experiencing life).
Indeed, it is one thing to discover new dimensions, new ways of being alive (in the present), but it is much more difficult to share these experiences and to feel understood (even the current forms of art have their limits, it is up to us to invent new ones).

I would like to keep in contact with you, because few people around me want to hear about my "strange" life experience (even my philosophy teacher, when I am capable of giving him very good copies!).
What I would like is some personal advice to help me find my place in this world, because I know that I have a lot to share, that I have the ability to evolve the world, but I do not see how to orient myself to achieve the greatest possible happiness while sharing as much as possible.
For everyone, the important thing is to find a good job, to have a "good situation" in which one dies of stress and lack of self-care.
I see my parents who are managers: what a chance to earn money, even if, for that, one must seek intellectually some lies to believe in oneself that one likes one's distress!

I would like to help them and make them understand that they can do better, but they are of the same type as me until I started to live more globally: anxious, closed, stressed.
I feel that they have a desire, at the bottom and like everyone, to share more easily, and also that they are open to alterity but only after rehashing the past (and therefore in a strictly intellectual way).
In fact, it is communication in the present that blocks.
I would like them to know something else before the end of their lives!

But the one who worries me the most is my younger brother, 14 years old, who wears a dental appliance, who suffers in all dimensions of his being, who only expresses himself through primary forms of language (in the sense that they allow him to express... almost nothing! if not arrogance, violence or hatred). Sometimes an exchange takes place when we "play fight" and I feel that he is happy but it is so rare and he is so alone with his suffering.
I sometimes wish to stop my studies and make him stop his as well (he is also failing academically!) to help him enter life on better feet.
I also want to convince my mother to remove his dental appliance, but what certainties she has placed in her "scientific beliefs"!

In short, if I tell you all this, it's also because I have communication difficulties with others and finding you was a bit of a liberation.
Even if these last few days, I breathe more and am happier to be able to share, even small things.
But as you can see, the reality of the people around me is rather difficult and even if I think I have a good grasp of our situation (I talk about situation because our family relationships are so blocked that it is easy to make a static model of it!), I cannot become their therapist.
I would simply like them to become their own therapists, or to begin the path to do so (as I did).
How can I convince them to try something like dentosophy, which is capable of making them live globally and to restore harmony between the aspects of their being that they know and those that they do not want to know or listen to??

I hope I have not overwhelmed you but I have been looking for someone to express all this for so long!

In hoping that you will accept to help me, I would be happy to receive your advice...and your friendship (even at a distance)?

Cordially and warmly
