Bonjour,
I am a general practitioner and am currently undergoing training in naturopathy.
I am looking for a practitioner who could take charge of the oral-dental pathology of my 19-month-old son, who suffered from ankyloglossia (tongue tie too short) at birth with swallowing disorders.
Since his birth, his life has been marked by health issues: poor feeding, digestive problems, restlessness, and likely abdominal pain, food allergy.
Despite the challenges, I have been trying to provide the best medical care for him with both allopathic and holistic methods.
However, I am convinced that there is a dental solution for my son to improve his growth and especially to control dental malposition, functional speech disorders, and the phonatory problems I anticipate as he is in the process of acquiring language.
As a doctor and even more so as a mother, I am exploring and learning about everything that my standard medical education has "hidden" from me until now.
And I am discovering terrifying things about the paradigms we have acquired and the difficulties in existing within our professional community, where the majority remains rather for inaction and pseudo-scientific dogmas.
Is it too early to have my son followed by a qualified dentist in dentosophy?
Thank you. Best regards.

Bonjour Madame
My youngest patient was 2 years and 3 months old.
It is never too early, but the key will be the motivation of the parents because dentosophy goes beyond the "well-trodden paths" of medicine as we were taught.
As a doctor, I do not know your approach to the human being, but I know that the success of treatments depends largely on our questioning as adults about what a child represents and what they are trying to tell us through their illnesses.
I advise you to read the book I have just written before contacting a professional.
With all my sympathy.
Bonjour Monsieur Montaud,
I just devoured your book like a thirsty person crossing a desert, and, having encountered only mirages so far, have finally reached the oasis where I can quench my thirst.
It seems to me that this meeting was not fortuitous and that my life events prepared me for it, providing answers through your book that are current but also confirming my preclinical intuitions as a patient first, then a therapist, and finally a parent.
I wanted to share the particular echo your development had on the maturation of the neuro-psycho-sensorial system in the sequence walking-speaking-thinking. It shed light on a personal situation I experienced in adolescence.
I come from a "pathological" family where my father, a violent abuser, beat my mother, and the older siblings, by mimicking, beat the younger ones.
Being the youngest of four children and a girl, I was the scapegoat of the family.
My adolescence was the peak of physical and psychological abuse, and it was when I began to present regressive symptoms in the reverse sequence of what you present, that is, impairment of Thinking (difficulty with school concentration, sadness, self-blame) followed by Speech (stuttering) and finally Walking (I limped without apparent organic damage).
The year that followed, for my survival, I left my family and clung to my medical studies, and the symptoms disappeared.
Now, in the light of your explanations, I better understand the impacts of the psycho-emotional system on our health.
Moreover, your book and its openings provide an answer to the problem of my 19-month-old son.
As I told you, he was born with a tongue tie too short. We were in the United States. At the hospital, I had to report it to the pediatrician because my son did not cry normally, the tongue not lifting from the floor.
Moreover, he had an abnormal behavior for me: persistent crying even after hours at the breast. I then mentioned a swallowing disorder and was ignored.
Only at home did I have to express my milk because on the fourth day, at the onset of milk production, the diagnosis was made, he was not eating, he became emaciated, he had no diuresis and no transit.
I called for help from all the medical personnel available at that time: pediatrician, who told me to put him on powdered milk, then referred me to the dentist, who referred me to the stomatologist if I insisted on intervening on his tongue, with general anesthesia and a one-month wait.
Finally, I decided to "operate" (fronotomy) my son at home on the ninth day, seeing him too distressed to eat.
Since then, the feeding problems have miraculously resolved, confirming the feeling that I had of being in "orthofunctional" rather than the "dysfunctional" approach of my colleagues, who did not look further anyway.
Unfortunately, my son's health problems have continued, eczema, food allergy, persistent sleep disorders, chronic constipation, poorly emerging teeth, and an agitation that I find abnormal.
The medical community reassures me without giving me an answer, without explaining the symptoms they recognize as "abnormal."
Having an older daughter in good health, I have been able to observe that a healthy child does not behave this way. He eats well, sleeps well, and behaves harmoniously.
When a baby cries and it lasts, there is, according to me, ALWAYS a functional or organic reason.
It is a bit long, but I wanted to explain my journey towards you and also my hopes of helping my son to correct a very bad start in life.
And finally, I would have liked your reflections on the reservation I make when reading your book.
I fully agree with all the demonstrations in your book, particularly those involving the action of the human being (the person with an unbalanced mouth) on the rest of the world, as well as those involving our "responsibility" in our life events, and I think of the example of the child who broke an incisor in the schoolyard at the end of your book.
But is it not still too reductive?
What to think of the "injustices" of this world? In war-torn countries, would there be more unbalanced mouths?
If we all have within us the inner doctor to heal our "unloved" ailments? Who will heal the ills of others?
The woman who is beaten by the man who says he loves her, does she also have an unbalanced mouth?
Dentosophy is undoubtedly a great step towards healing this world. But there are indeed calamities that exceed my understanding.
Thank you for reading me.
Best regards.

Bonjour Madame
Attention; the unbalanced mouth is, for me, an external view of an internal functioning of the human being that is not in harmony. It is just a visible external symptom. (It is not because of the mouth that humanity is going badly)
Now, these observations generalize to the entire human population (with different degrees according to individuals).
We then understand why this humanity is going so badly because it is generalized to the entire population. But, if everything has a meaning, this too must have a meaning!
"But is it not still too reductive?
What to think of the 'injustices' of this world? In war-torn countries, would there be more unbalanced mouths?"
Where does the war begin?
When people start shooting at each other or when someone starts beating a little girl, the family's suffering child. The injustices of this world are not only in the countries that are "at war".
We have all lived injustices in our childhood and continue to do so as adults, and it is always unbearable and yet we continue... continue... until when?
Until when will we tolerate the UNTOLERABLE?
"If we all have within us the inner doctor to heal our 'unloved' ailments? Who will heal the ills of others?"
No one will heal the ills of others because it is up to the others to heal their own ills.
We cannot do anything directly for the other but, for ourselves, if we succeed in working on our own distress, (the distress that we tolerate), we become "contagious with good health" and we give others the desire to do the same (because the human being knows, in his deep unconscious, that life 'is something other than what he lives' and the 'unloved' ailments are there to remind him)
"The woman who is beaten by the man who says he loves her, does she also have an unbalanced mouth?"
Yes! She has and it is because she has this unbalanced mouth that she accepts to be beaten without batting an eye because, if she did not have it, she would never have found herself in this situation or she would have had the necessary resources to get out of it.
"Dentosophy is undoubtedly a great step towards healing this world. But there are indeed calamities that exceed my understanding."
A great friend of mine (and the word is not strong enough), Gitta Mallasz (author of "Dialogues with the Angel"), who was an enlightened being, once said: "As long as there is war within (ourselves), there will be war outside. We are all responsible for what happens on Earth. It is by working on our small internal wars that we will prevent, one day, the wars outside."
You asked for my opinion and here is what I think.
Of course, in my words, there is no judgment on my part because I am also a human being who is seeking and groping. I thank you for your sincerity and humility because it is not easy, especially for a doctor, to "open up" as you did.
My book is for the human being and I know that with you, it is in good hands.
With all my sympathy
Bonjour Monsieur Montaud,
And thank you first of all for your consideration and the sincerity of your response.
I have accepted this idea that what happens to me is not fortuitous.
I have drawn lessons from it and am happy today to see a path to repair/correct the errors of the past that I have experienced as a child or committed as an adult; and to benefit my children from the hard-earned lessons.
In the observation of family functioning (that of my parents and brothers and sisters), disharmonious, I have acquired an understanding of the world. Through the experience of this microcosm, I deduce an idea of the macrocosm that represents the world we build: US, men and women, since the history of humanity.
And it is true, we deploy extraordinary forces to try to transform everything that is outside us in the name of the most noble causes (freedom, democracy, equality, eradication of diseases) using finally force and constraint.
While if each of us were to find their inner harmony and focus on this task, disorder would no longer have a place and it would become unnecessary "to attack" an external enemy.
Thank you for allowing me this exchange and for helping me to evolve in a few days towards a clearer consciousness.
Best regards,
