Testimony of a 12 and a half year old girl

Bonjour M Montaud

The orthodontist started working on my teeth when I was 10 years old. He put an appliance in my mouth and, at 11, the top brackets, then at 12, the bottom brackets.
Before the appliances, I was a lively, creative, and very generous little girl. My teachers said I was a ray of sunshine.

After the break of the appliances, I became irritable, very jealous, and selfish.
I had night terrors that forced me to sleep with my parents.
I can go from laughing to crying without any reason.
I had difficulties with three girls from my 5th grade; they ignored me without any apparent reason, and it completely destroyed me, whereas before I had the strength to defend myself.
I felt like my energy had been taken away from me.

August 28, I am taking off the appliances.

This testimony is of utmost importance because very few children have the awareness of the reality of the events or cannot express them because they are not listened to.
Often these changes are attributed to adolescence.
